Ras Nene has earned nominations at the maiden Golden Age Creative Arts Awards for the part he played in lifting moods of Ghanaians throughout last year and especially during the lockdown period.

He joins other Ghanaian entertainers who took it upon themselves to defy the odds placed against the entertainment industry by the ravaging coronavirus pandemic.

Alongside Bibi Bright, founder of Golden Movie Awards, Mimi Adani, broadcaster, Ola Michael, entrepreneur, Miz Derby, actress Abena Ghana, and astute broadcaster, Quophi Okyeame, he has been nominated in one of the 50 categories available.

Other potential recipients include Victoria Michaels, Stephanie Karikari, Koo Fori, Roselyn Felli, and others.

The Golden Age Business and Creative Arts Awards (GACAA), which has been slated for March 6, 2021, was created to recognise deserving individuals in the creative arts industry of the country.

"The recognition by the Ministry of tourism and the support of the general public has really boosted our morale and we will not fail in our quest to give entertainment lovers in this country the pleasure they seek when it comes to events organisation and recognition of hardworking individuals in the arts industry."

This was said by the founder of GACAA and Chief Executive Officer of Dolphins House Productions, organisers of GACAA, Mr Ellis Adjei in Accra.

He maintained that he believes people who have excelled in the arts need to be recognised and celebrated.

According to him, such platforms add numerous benefit to the individuals recognised and catapult them to higher heights.

"For us we believe every nominee is a winner, we wish everyone all the best," he concluded.
