Scores of irate National Democratic Congress (NDC) foot soldiers or supporters in the Northern Region have called for the reinstatement of the suspended Daboya-Mankarigu Constituency executives with immediate effect.

The mad supporters claim they will deal with the top hierarchy of the NDC leaders should they fail to recall the suspended executives to assume their positions.

It could be recalled that SN24 News reported yesterday that 10 NDC executives, plus their chairman in the Daboya-Mankarigu Constituency of the Northern Region were suspended by the party’s Constituency Executive Committee.

The statement which carried their suspension said “the Constituency Executive Committee of the NDC in the Daboya Mankarigu constituency has suspended with immediate effect some executives of the party following their anti-party activities and conduct during the just ended Presidential and Parliamentary elections.”

However, the infuriated supporters have threatened to defect the NDC party if the suspended constituency chairman and the 10 other branch polling station executives are not recalled.

"We have thoroughly reviewed the charges against the suspended executives. Although the NDC as a political party is working with a constitution, we’ve realized that the various charges by which the Constituency Executive Committee suspended the Constituency Chairman, Alhaji Yahaya Mohammed Mutala, and other polling stations Executives don’t hold water.

Hence we think that the leadership of the party at the national level and the Daboya Mankarigu constituency Executive Committee should quickly revert the suspension.”

"If the issue is not resolved immediately we’ll live the party and this will affect the success of the NDC in the 2024 elections with some key members threatening to break away," the supporters expressed this concern in an interview with Soireenews.com.
