Immediate past Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bantama Constituency, Mr. Daniel Okyem Aboagye has been put under heated pressure by some section of traders at the Asafo market, Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

According to the angry traders who are predominantly women specifically operating as cold store sellers, Okyem Aboagye is a greedy cheat leader who deserves no room to operate.

They said the former MP who has successfully gained a place to operate his 2M cars, is still not satisfied but rather wants to use dubious means to evacuate them from their legally acquired place where they sell to make ends meet.

Speaking in an angry mood to Soiree News reporter, Nana Peprah, the angry women disclosed that Okyem Aboagye initially wanted to force them to vacate the land but couldn't succeed due to the fact that they had documents intact to attest the legal acquisition of the place.

According to them, the MP after realizing he was not going to succeed through the unlawful means has adopted a new strategy, being that he has secretly placed his signboard on their land without their consent.

Again, the same Okyem Aboagye is begging them to allow him to put two of his cars on their land to pick passengers.

"We want to tell Wofa Atta (Okyem Aboagye) that we know him to be litigant because he once sent VIP officials to Court. We don't want to face him with such issues, he should peacefully remove his signboard or else face our wrath.”

We are not going to allow him an inch to operate here. He can't outsmart us. You can't come here today and claim ownership of the place tomorrow. We respect him as a former MP and we don't want to begrudge him. We are already burdened by the low sales nowadays, and we don't want him to add his problems to that", they said.

Leader of the ragged women Nana Effua Ahemma speaking to this reporter begged Okyem Aboagye and other leaders to respect them instead of at all times taking them for granted.

She said they are not going to sit aloof for the former MP to exercise autocracy on them.
