The National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has been granted bail.

Officers of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) picked him up on Monday morning, January 27, 2020 at the premises of United Television (UTV) after a warrant from the Court was secured by the police to arrest and interrogate the politician over his possession of forged document and publication of false news with the intent to cause fear and alarm contrary to section 166 and 208 of the Criminal and Other Offences Act, 1960 (ACT 29) respectively.
