Security Alert: NDC Accuses Hawa Koomson For Allegedly Deploying Violent Thugs Into Hotes At Kasoa To Cause Mayhem In 2024 Polls
They accused the Member of Parliament (MP) for Awutu Senya East Constituency, Honourable Mavis Hawa Koomson for deploying of violent thugs into the hotels and guest houses to help her win the seat in the 2024 polls.

National Democratic Congress (NDC) branch of the Awutu Senya East Constituency in the Central Region has revealed a shocking case on how some violent thugs were deployed into some hiding places including hotels and guest houses in Kasoa to cause mayhem on December Saturday 7, 2024 general elections.
At a crowded press conference held at Kasoa on Saturday December 30,2024, the youth wing of the NDC in the Awutu Senya East Constituency of the Central Region expressed their concerns and worries over the development.
They accused the Member of Parliament (MP) for Awutu Senya East Constituency, Honourable Mavis Hawa Koomson for deploying the violent thugs into the hotels and guest houses to help her win the seat in the 2024 polls.
Mincing no words, the NDC called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo Dampare to launch an immediate investigation into this frightening matter to unravel the true.
The leadership of the NDC in the constituency led by its constituency youth's organiser, Mr Nash Nyande Adams hinted that some of these marauding thugs were hiding in hotel at Kasoa called Global View Hotel.
"We are calling on the IGP and other state security apparatus to launch investigation into this matter because we think and believe that if the IGP refuses to arrest these thugs to investigate them before the December Saturday 7, 2024 general elections, the thugs will take the law into their hands to do what they want before the election because they want peace in Kasoa and not gun shots," the NDC appealed.
The NDC recalled that in 2020 general elections, Honourable Koomson brought some thugs from Asante Bekwai to storm Kasoa to fire gun shots to disrupt the election processes, which led to some supporters of the NDC at Kasoa and its surrounding areas being injured.
"As we are preparing for this December Saturday 7, 2024 general elections too, our investigations have revealed that the same thugs were brought in by Honourable Koomson and hide in some Hotels in Awutu Senya East awaiting to cause violence during the election," the NDC alarmed.
