Ghanaian Hiplife legend, Reggie Rockstone has hailed the Coronavirus period as a blessing in disguise for himself and his family.

According to him, he cannot totally condemn the Coronavirus because it has brought good tidings for his Waakye business amidst the destruction and devastation that it has caused for others.

He confessed this to the viewers who tuned in to watch his Zoom interview on Y-Dialogues with YFM hosts, Akosua Hanson and NY DJ, discussing ‘100days of COVID in Ghana: Learnings in the entertainment industry’.

“Everything went the other way. We started to shine in COVID times. COVID or not, people gotta eat and I happen to have the bomb waakye that everyone was on when we were up and running so now that everybody was home, they missed us.” He outed.

Reggie revealed that he already told his wife that something was about to happen, so they were mentally prepared for the occurrences that took place next. He placed the current success he is enjoying down to his ability to anticipate certain situations.

"They missed the food and then somebody made a comment trying to troll me. It went viral, my wife and I jumped on it and we just started to rise. Now, it’s just Rockz Waakye all day so for us, COVID is a whole different vibe” he explained.

He outlined that they now push out at least 600 weekdays packs in a day whereas the numbers were nothing close to that before the pandemic.

The grandfather of Hiplife, as he is so fondly called, then said although the Coronavirus has brought a boost in his business he would still like to see it gone as soon as possible so all the lives of Ghanaians can go back to normal. Regardless of the consequence that it would mean for his business.
