Debruyne celebrates second goal against Los Blancos

Kevin De Bruyne tucked away the resulting penalty to complete City’s stunning turnaround, as Madrid well and truly crumbled in front of their home fans.

To make matters worse, captain Sergio Ramos was sent off for a trip on Jesus, with the Brazilian bearing down on goal.

The result means Madrid need to score at least twice when they visit the Etihad on March 17.

Madrid will be without Ramos, while City could be without Aymeric Laporte, who provided the one negative for Pep Guardiola by limping off injured.

Despite City having the better of it, the hosts went in front when Vinicius led the charge down the right and beat Kyle Walker to square for Isco, who slid home clinically.

Sterling and Gareth Bale entered the fray for the final quarter of the game but it was City who took charge.

De Bruyne did brilliantly on the left to beat two players and then cross for Jesus to head home the equaliser.
