Virgil van Dijk says Donny van de Beek’s move to Manchester United is a great step in the life of his teammate.
The Ajax midfielder is undergoing medical in the Netherlands ahead of his dream move the Premier League after the two sides earlier agreed on a 40m euro deal for the transfer.
Van Dijk believes it is a 'great step” for the Ajax man, as he commended his choice, describing Manchester United as a beautiful club for Dutch football.

When asked if he was trying to change Van de Beek's mind about joining United, he told the Metro: “No.
“I wish Donny all the best.
“It's fantastic for him and great for Dutch football.
“It's another great step to another beautiful club for a Dutch player.”
The 23-year old helped Ajax reach the 2018-19 Champions League semi-finals, scoring 40 in all competitions over the last three seasons.
