Obour Belling

Obour Belling, one of the guys in a circulating video suspected to be the killer of the innocent police officer, Constable Emmanuel Osei whose demise occurred at Jamestown in the Greater Accra Region has denied allegations against him as the killer.

A video went viral a day after the bullion van killing featuring four guys spraying money and holding guns cautioning Ghanaians to be ready to experience worse in such a time.

According to the person behind the recorded video, they are not armed robbers therefore the allegation made against them as killers of the cop in Accra on Monday, June 14, 2021, is fake and the general public must treat it as such.

He explained that the pump-action gun belongs to their senior brother, Alfred Dokora. He recalled that they retrieved the pistols from a gang during their time as small scale miners in the Upper West Region. Obour Belling told that his group had a fight with some gang last year at the mining site and after being victorious against the gang they took over their pistols.

He disclosed that the viral video was shot in 2020, but there has been a misunderstanding between them and a gang at Tutuka and unfortunately, they decided to take advantage of the video posted on their Facebook page and accuse them as killers of the Police officer.

The owner of the pump action gun, Alfred Dakora told Soireenews reporter, Yaw Opoku to enquire whether his brother has any criminal record in the Obuasi Municipal.

He admitted that the registered gun belongs to him and it is purposely for protecting his poultry farm.

"My brothers got the gun when we went to our grannies funeral at our hometown at Wa last year, we had a fight which is known to everyone including the Wa police commander.  After the fight, my brothers got access to the gun and used it for the video they did."
