An elephant is not an animal that is supposed to be carried by a human being. This is because it is too heavy an animal for anyone to attempt to carry it.
So therefore anyone who tries to lift an elephant to carry it is only looking for trouble upon trouble. It must be emphasized that any man who decides to carry an elephant is definitely engaging in a taboo.
What may befall him are unwelcome and unwanted outcomes all of which are completely avoidable.
So for the one who decides to go carry an elephant, he or she is just going to look for trouble and nothing else.
In the year 2016 Ghanaians unknowingly of such an outcome for carrying an elephant from the bush into the city made a terrible mistake to vote for the NPP and brought them to power in Ghana unfortunately.
As it is meant to be we have suffered ever since.
Banks have been collapsed, unemployment in the roof, broken promises, lies and deception, economic fundamentals in disarray, excessive borrowing, industry collapse, dumsor galore, disrespect galore, interest rates to the roof, exchange rate to the roof, cedi turmoil, corruption eating out resources like cancer to the body, environmental destruction from galamsey, gold for oil disaster, LGBTQ++ promotion, etc.
Whilst the NPP will jokingly deceive everyone that the elephant is big enough such that its meat can reach and be shared by all, its just a ploy to win power only for a few people in the NPP to benefit.
This has been proven over the years as whenever NPP is in power only a few people in Ghana benefit whilst the masses suffer.
The opposite is true as even NPP members acknowledge and admit that when the NDC is in power everyone benefits.
It is interesting to note that even amongst the NPP members a lot of them have no means of survival. They are all suffering except that they are too stubborn to change their mind which is not good because they do have a better alternative in the NDC and they should be bold to vote for the NDC umbrella come December 7th.
When your choice disappoints and fails you, you opt for the tried and tested one. NDC is the tried, tested and the best bet Ghanaians right now and for a long time to come.
Even cash for seats didn't help many people including even NPP members because you pay before you can sit close to President Akuffo Addo.
All the signs point to a taboo committed by the people of Ghana in allowing themselves to be deceived by the NPP into voting for the elephant to come from the bush to live with us in the city.
What do you expect? Destruction of everything so no wonder our economy has been destroyed.
No wonder despite all the loans obtained by this government it squandered everything and went to force the Bank of Ghana to print billions of Ghana cedis and even yet, it was still not enough for this corruption led money guzzling NPP government.
It "eats" everything including pensioners money without shame.
Hair cuts to make you look odd as a human being is the end result of the elephant in town.
Definitely, it is a taboo to even have the elephant as a friend let alone allow it to rule you.
Tomatoes we cannot buy, onions we cannot buy, rice we cannot buy, maize we cannot buy, cement we cannot buy, building materials we cannot buy, petrol we cannot buy, gas we cannot buy. We are all suffering in the words of Dr. Mahmoud Bawumia who himself after uttering such words, became the Chairman of the Economic Management Team but failed miserably to do the magic he promised Ghanaians during his loudmouth lectures.
"I have worked at the Bank of Ghana. The money is there. We are going to stop going for loans. We have money right here in Ghana. We will move the economy from taxation to production." These are the words of the failed economist Dr. Bawumia who says he was only a mate and so he couldn't do anything.
It seems to me that Dr. Bawumia thinks the Ghanaians he lied to in 2016 are still the same today so he can again lie his way to power.
Giving lectures upon lectures on how to fix our economy and yet he has failed to show a little competence in the fortunes of our cedi which keeps tumbling down like a drunk who just fell off a cliff.
All of the above is a sign that a man must not live with an elephant. The place of the elephant is the bush.
"Woe betides the man who decides to carry an elephant; for his days of suffering shall never end."
We have carried the elephant for eight years. It is more than enough.
We cannot endure this suffering anymore.
On 7th December let us all go and send the elephant NPP back into the bush.
Lets end this needless and avoidable taboo on our heads on election day.
Just look for the umbrella ☔ and vote for the NDC.
Vote for John Dramani Mahama and the NDC Parliamentary Candidate in your Constituency lets save Ghana together.
We need our next independence and it'll happen on 7th December 2024 when you go to vote for the NDC.
The nation builder and incoming President John Dramani Mahama together with competent people in the NDC will rescue this nation from the mess we find ourselves.
Enough of the suffering.
