The communication sector has expanded consistently and more quickly. The days of waiting by a phone all night to answer a call or traveling far distances on dangerous roads from one village to another to send a letter are long gone.

Today, all of that is history; one can transmit information in a split second without pausing to consider how quickly, easily, and widely it has advanced.

Today, social media is used by almost 80% of Ghana's people because it is simple, quick, largely safe, and most importantly, less expensive.

Similar to other forms of communication, social media is mainly used for information transmission and reception as well as for entertainment.

The creator and pastor of Animouyam Global Chapel, Prophet Peter Aklah, claims that many social media users today don't care what they post, how they post it, when they post it, or about whom they post it. Posting whatever comes to mind is all that counts, primarily for the sake of trends.

Therefore, he warned Ghanaians, particularly the young, to use caution when posting on social media because it could have a negative impact on them in the future.
