Former Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, has called on the eligible voters to vote massively for the NDC parliamentary candidate in the Kumawu Constituency of the Ashanti Region, Mr. Kwesi Amankwaa, popularly known as ‘Tom Cee’ to win the Tuesday May 23, 2023 Kumawu by-election.

Dr. Duffuor's call on eligible voters was contained in a press statement signed and issued by the spokesperson for Duffour Campaign Team, Mr. Antonio Edem Asinyo and copied to Soireenews.com.
Dr. Duffuor on Friday May 19, 2023 joined thousands of the National Democratic Congress faithful(s) to campaign for Mr Amankwaa, knownl to lead the party into this Kumawu by-election.
As native of Kumawu, Dr. Duffuor who doubles as the former Governor of Bank of Ghana (BoG) is committed towards enabling the party to secure a victory in this by-election, particularly one involving his native people.
Mr Amankwa brother to Dr. Kwabena Duffuor is the sole parliamentary candidate who picked and filed his nomination when the party opened nominations.
After successful vetting, the party’s elections committee cleared him to contest and has been acclaimed.
