Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, was unhappy with his team’s performance despite a 4-2 win over Sheffield United on Wednesday night, April 24, 2024.

Jayden Bogle gave the visitors the lead, before Harry Maguire made it 1-1 before the break.

Ben Brereton Diaz restored the Blades’ lead, but Bruno Fernandes scored twice to turn the game on its head.

Rasmus Hojlund added a late goal as United climbed up into sixth place on the table

“It was for the crowd a good game. Four goals and many chances we created.

“I think we played quite well, also creating many more chances. Many positives. But also negatives. Conceding two goals from give-aways. It’s unacceptable.

Fernandes said: "At the end we came back. We put ourselves in a position where it's tough to win games, but it also shows a bit of character.

"I'm really happy to score, but I want to win games more than score goals. It's part of my role also, to score goals, but the main thing for me is winning games.

"Lately we haven't won as many as we should have. Being a United player demands winning games."

United sub Ethan Wheatley, 18, became the club's 250th academy graduate to play for the first-team when he came on in added time.
