THE AGGRIEVED traditional office holders chiefs and residents of Awutu Kwao Amoako in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region have threatened to mobilize eligible voters of the area to boycott the 2024 general elections if their roads are not fixed.

The people in the area expressed their frustration, stating that years of voting have not brought about any development in the area.
They added that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has failed to bring the needed development to the Awutu Kwao Amoako area.
"Most residents in such communities including drivers, pregnant women lost their Dear babies out of bad roads, parents and their words easily get sick after drinking water with animals, school children walk for several kilometers before going to school," they  complained bitterly.
"We are warning whoever to bring ballot boxes in their community to vote for liars politicians will not work. We would resist and kick them like a football because they are not the only human beings to enjoy better life. 
The reason, according to the Chief of the area, Nai Kwame Quaye I, due to NPP government's failure to giving them potable water to drink.
He stressed that "we have felt deceived by the constant promises that go unfulfilled by the NPP government."

He fumed that "Always when they come please vote for us, we'll fix your problem, so this time around we have decided to boycott the election in our area."
“We, the people living in Awutu Kwao Amoako are not happy, and the people, especially the traditional leaders, are sitting on a time bomb. Somebody will ask why nothing is happening in Awutu Kwao Amoako, and we have been for so many years. But nothing is going on, and so we are warning that if they don’t take care, things will change.”
“The roads in in Awutu Kwao Amoako are very bad. There is not a single tarred road in the area, and either we will not vote or allow any ballot box into the area.”
