"God forbid, l want to repeat it again, l saying that God forbid, this intended merger between Adama Latse and Kelvin Nii Tackie would happen over our dead bodies. I am using this opportunity to tell the general public, particularly the citizens in the Ga state that whoever is telling them that our Ga legitimate Manste, King Tackie Adama Latse II has decided to join the camp of King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, it means that that person is really telling them the lies.

"It is because this is not true, and that Adama Latse is still a Ga Mantse who is currently performing his numerous traditional duties and responsibilities although his rival King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II and his kinsmen with support of the former Public Affairs Director of the Ghana Police Service, DCOP Kwesi Ofori have forcibly removed Adama Latse and his people from the Ga Mantse Stool House and allowed King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II and his kinsmen to take over the stool House.
"...but in case if it is time for Adama Latse to perform his necessary traditional rites and duties, many of his accredited elders, priests, priestesses and principal kingmakers joined him to carry out such important traditions and customs in the Ga state," Honourable Commey set the record straight.
The remark's of Honourable Commey who doubles as the former Member of Parliament (MP) for Odododiodo Constituency of the Greater Accra Region statement was in reaction to the viral allegations that Adama Latse is making a move to spoke peace pipe with King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II since Ga state is preparing to ban drumming and noise making activities in Accra towards this year's annual Homowo festival.

The Ga Mantse Spokesperson restated that the legitimate Ga Mantse was Boni Tackie Adama Latse II, who was nominated, elected and enstooled in accordance with the customs, traditions, conventions and usages of the Ga State in 2011.
According to him, the Ga Mantse was gazetted and his name was entered into the National Register of Chiefs in 2015, only to be illegally removed by the National House of Chiefs on September 30, 2021.
But the  Honourable Commey said the High Court in Kumasi on November 11, 2021, ordered the immediate restoration of the name of Boni Nii Tackie Adama Latse II into the National Register of Chiefs.

The spokesperson provillded documentary proof to back his claim that on October 20, 2017, armed policemen and soldiers from the regional security council led by DCOP Kwesi Ofori removed Adama Latse who is Ga Mantse from the Ga Royal Stool House and planted Dr Kelvin Tackie in the house.
Honourable Commey who dared Dr Kelvin Tackie to challenge him stressed that Dr Kelvin Tackie had earlier been vetted and rejected by the Ga Paramount Stool Dzase in preference for King Tackie Adama Latse II.
“We have been battling the authorities of the Greater Accra Region since October 20, 2017 to have the Ga Mantse’s Palace and the Stool House re-opened to allow him to perform his functions as Ga Mantse and President of the Ga Traditional Council until Saturday, May 9, 2020 when the regional minister had his choice of Ga Mantse purportedly installed. As law-abiding citizens, we would take appropriate action,” he reaffirmed.
