Ahafo:  Lands Commission gets office to help reduce pressure in Sunyani.

Following the fulfillment of the creation of six new Regions in Ghana in 2018 by President Nana Akufo Addo to facilitate the development and also bring governance to the doorstep of the people, the Lands Commission has inaugurated Ahafo Regional office complex in Goaso to reduce stress, cost and pressure on people in assessing lands related services in Sunyani.

Following the fulfillment of the creation of six new Regions in Ghana in 2018 by President Nana Akufo Addo to facilitate the development and also bring governance to the doorstep of the people, the Lands Commission has inaugurated Ahafo Regional office complex in Goaso to reduce stress, cost and pressure on people in assessing lands related services in Sunyani. 


Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Benito Owusu-Bio said the move is part of the government and the Commission’s decentralization and digitalization agenda.


The Executive Secretary of the Commission, Mr. James E. K. Dadson said the move would bring the services of the commission closer to the indigenes.


The Ahafo Regional Director of Lands Commission, Mr. Joseph Auther pledges the commission's willingness to collaborate with chiefs and people of the region to reduce land disputes.
