THE CHIEF of Akyem Ntronnae in the Birim North District of the Eastern Region,Nana Aseidu Akora II as part of custody rites to seal his legitimacy last Thursday swore the Oath of Allegiance to the Paramount Chief of Akyem Kotoku Traditional Area, Oseadiayo Dr. Frimpong Manso IV at the Akyem Oda palace of the Kotoku overlord.

Nana Aseidu Akora II in a black traditional cloth, held the hilt of the symbol of power of Akyem Ntronnae, and swore before Oseadiayo Dr. Frimpong Manso IV and the packed crème de la crème of chiefs that, with the exception of sickness, he is ready to serve the people of Akyem Ntronnae in every capacity within his power.

The chief swore that whenever the people Akyem Ntronnae called on him he would readily answer.
Nana Aseidu Akora II ascends the stool which remained vacant for some years. He has been installed for the past 30 years and that per the  traditions of Akyeman, the traditionally and customarily installed chief supposed to swear the oath of allegiance to Dr. Frimpong Manso IV but this traditional process was delayed due to some pocket of issues in the Akyem Kotoku Traditional Area.
However, since the Paramount Chief of Akyem Kotoku Traditional Area has genuinely and legally secured his chieftaincy status gazette from the National House of Chiefs (NHCs) in Kumasi in Ashanti Region, the development which has informed the decision of Nana Aseidu Akora II to swore the oath of allegiance to him [Oseadiayo Dr. Frimpong Manso IV].

Speaking in an interview with journalists after going through this traditional processes, the visibly joyful Nana Aseidu Akora II pledged to work with the elders, family members and the entire community for accelerated development, adding that the promotion of education would be his priority.

He called for unity among the people, particularly, the family members, as he, as an individual, could not singlehandedly champion the developmental agenda of the community.
Nana Aseidu Akora II pointed out that job creation would be vigorously pursued for the youth to be gainfully employed.

He advised them to abstain from social vices like drug addiction, truancy, and teenage pregnancy among other things to secure a bright future and further protect the image of the Akyem Ntronnae community.
