A former Cadre who is now an aspiring Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Asene Akroso Manso Constituency of Eastern Region, Mr. Isaac Kofi Ahimah, has cautioned NDC at the national, regional and constituency levels to be vigilante, saying that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is sponsoring some NDC aspirants to aid them 'break the eight'.
He explained that most branch executives take money from some NPP gurus as sponsorship packages during constituency elections and turn out not to help the NDC party in their constituencies during elections.
"Most at times these beneficiaries even switch off their phones or hide themselves from the polling centers in order for their opponent paymasters to manipulate the election process to win," he blew an alarm bell.
Mr. Isaac Kofi Ahimah spoke to the media after his visit to NDC delegates in the Asene Akroso Manso constituency to convince them to vote for him to become NDC constituency chairman.
In this sense, the NDC top shot appealed to them to come together to fight for NDC to come back to power in 2024.
He further appealed to the delegates in the Asene Akroso Manso constituency to vote for him to become the NDC constituency chairman to help win the seat for NDC to pave way for development in the district.
