At the BET Hip Hop Awards, Black Sherif told Diasporans, "You are kings and queens; come home"

Popular Ghanaian rapper Black Sherif has extended a special invitation to Black Diasporans to return home to where they are kings and queens in an act that can only be characterized as a pride for his African ancestry.

At the BET Hip Hop Awards, Black Sherif told Diasporans, "You are kings and queens; come home"

The Kwaku The Traveller rapper gave a moving acceptance speech after winning the Best International Flow category at the BET Hip Hop Awards 2023. He talked about his humble beginnings at Konongo Zongo and how, despite his humble beginnings, he was still quite certain that his music will one day be heard all over the world.

The most memorable part of his address, which has now gone viral, was when he confidently urged the mostly Black audience to rediscover their African heritage.

And keep in mind that you are kings and queens at home. "Return home," Black Sherif said.

The current VGMA Artiste of the Year emphasized the deep sense of belonging and solidarity that awaits individuals who decide to return to their motherland.

He remarked that returning home would provide them with a multitude of cultural experiences because Ghana was renowned for its dynamic culture, historical significance, and kind hospitality.

Black Sherif also took some time to thank his family, team, and devoted fans all across the world for their unwavering support throughout the years in addition to his message to the diaspora.

He understood that their assistance was essential to realizing his goal of taking home the Best International Flow prize at the BET Hip Hop Awards in 2023.

The BET stage is no stranger to Black Sherif. He was also nominated last year for "Best International Flow," but he lost.

He overcame stiff opposition from artists like as Aka (South Africa), Central Cee (UK), Gazo (France), J Hus (UK), K.O (South Africa), Major Rd (Brazil), Ninho (France), Sampa The Great (Zambia), and Tasha & Tracie (Brazil) by returning stronger this year.
