Ayi Mensah Assembly Man, Peter Kudjo Geh Threatens Violence On Journalist

EMBATTLED ASSEMBLY Member for Ayi Mensah Electoral Area of the Madina of the Greater Accra
Accra Region, Honourable Peter Kudjo Geh, in his usual self has descended once again into the gutters, issuing threat of death against Ghanaian senior journalist, Mr Freeman Koryekpor Awlesu for exposing him of his roles to sanction the spurious publication against the Member of Parliament (MP) for Madina Constituency, Honourable Francis-Xavier Kojo Sosu.
The journalist was shocked when Honourable Geh openly threatened him via telephone call and SIM test messages that he would deal with him and also “come after him” if he continued to report on the matter.
As l am talking to you now l have reported the matter to my head of the family for which they have taken this issue serous to deal with you.
"...and l am telling you that for tarnishing my image in this manner, we don't have anything to tell you now. Do you know who am l, l am saying that you would live to regret these things for tarnishing my image in this manner because of GH¢ 200.00 or GH¢300.00 you have been paid. You have dragged my name in the mud l would also make sure that you would be dealt with...You don't worry,"
The threats on the journalist occurred on Wednesday January 3,2024.
The journalist said he is preparing to officially report the death threat on his life to the Ghana Police Service.
This comes in the wake of publication in the Soireenews.com for which the news outlet reported that a total of fourteen (14) out of fifteen (15) Assembly members in the Electoral Area for Madina Constituency have distanced themselves from the spurious media publication attributed to the Assembly members that they have attacked the integrity of the Member of Parliament (MP) for Madina Constituency, Honourable Francis-Xavier Sosu.
In the report the assembly members noted that they had not sanctioned any media publication to be done to accuse their hardworking MP of not lending support to the assemblymen in the Madina constituency who are aligned with the National Democratic Party (NDC) in the just-ended District Assembly level election.
They indicated that their attention has been drawn to a spurious and absurd publication authored by a faceless group claiming to be disgruntled "Assembly members "of Madina who allege that they were neglected by the MP in his roles in the just-ended District Assembly level elections.
They have denied their knowledge about the publication and stated that by all indications the group does not exist neither has anybody owned up to the wild allegations put out against the MP.
However, some of them were quick to tell Soireenews.com that their checks have indicated that the said publication was being fueled by one disgruntled Assembly member for AyiMensah Electoral Area, Honourable Peter Kudjoe Gey, saying that he is the only Assembly member who is an ardent MP
This publication has angered Honourable Geh,
who heaped insults on journalist after his attempt to respond to the allegations levelled against him.
According to the journalist, who spoke to Soireenews.com, the incident happened on Wednesday January 3,204, where he was advised by the people not to bother to respond to the Assembly man since that is his nature.
Honourable Geh got angered at the journalist for not deciding to grant him an interview to get side of the matter before publication.
For this reason, instead of explaining his side of the story, Honourable Geh raved, heaping insults on the reporter that he is "you are very stupid and senseless. Fool like you. Stomach direction journalist. Abowa."
The Ayi Mensah Assembly man went on and on without response from the journalist,and stated that "You call urself a journalist, yet you are senseless. You publish a false report about, someone you don't know and has not spoken to before, is that what you were thought as a journalist or you were paid to tarnish the assembly member's image?
Honourable Geh, who has a habit of spewing uncouth language at the least opportunity, said; "God will punish you for writing false publications against an innocent person.
The journalist who all this while had consoled himself with laughter was further threatened by the Assembly member by saying that; "Your entire generation will know no peace. Next time do your cross-check well before you bring report out. Because of your stomach you people just get up and write anything in the name of I am a blogger.
