Bono Region: President Akufo Addo inaugurates administration block for 3bn

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has inaugurated an Administration block at the 3rd Infantry Battalion in Sunyani, Bono regional capital.
The inauguration took place on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, when the president paid a two-day working visit to the region. Chief Executive Officer of the Middle Belt Authority, Joe Danquah said the project was funded by his outfit under the one million dollar per constituency initiative as part of the infrastructure for poverty eradication programme (IPEP).
The administration which costs GHC 1.9 million was undertaken by J.K.Y. Ghana Limited in less than a year.
Mr Joe Danquah expressed satisfaction over the work done by the contractor especially the duration within which he completed it. The Assembly hall on the other hand is set to be completed in three months at a contract sum of GHC 1, 425,000 by Pertmart Company Ltd.
Mr Danquah is hopeful the project will help improve the security and activities of the military. On his Lt. Col. John Yaw Kwarteng, commanding officer, 3rd Infantry Battalion expressed gratitude to the government for the project. According to him, it will enhance their work and improve security.
