The Bunso Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of Ghana Police Service has rushed to Hawa Memorial Hospital to take a Statement of motor accident victim, Margaret Kesewa after an alleged attempt to Cover Up a "drunk" driver who crashed a motorbike rider to death over a week ago.

The personnel of MTTD at Bunso Police Station under Kibi Division of the Ghana Police Service on Tuesday rushed to Hawa Memorial Hospital to take the statement of a crash Margaret Kesewa almost a week after a hit and run driver crashed a motorbike rider to death and injured the pillion girlfriend, but failed to stop after the incident.

The Police were allegedly attempting to bury the case in the protection of the driver as sources close to this reporter indicates, that the said is “a rich man” but after publication on the development, has hurriedly gone to the hospital to commence an investigation.

The suspect driver has allegedly been drunk and subsequently failed the control the steering, hence the fatal crash of the two leading to the death of the one riding the Motorbike and several injuries to the pillion.

The unknown driver crushed a motor rider and his girlfriend on the Akyem Ettukrom stretch of the Koforidua to Bunso highway over a week now and an investigation has revealed that the driver immediately reported himself to the police but unfortunately, the police tried to brush out the case for an unknown reason.

The rider died on the spot while the pillion (girlfriend) passenger was seriously injured.

Ironically, both were found the next day almost eight hours after the accident, but both families struggled to know the whereabouts of the driver who caused the inhuman act after series of attempts to trace the culprit until the story broke out.
