The Asafohene for Mponuahene of the Awutu Traditional Council Supi Darko has been shot while three others have sustained serious injuries after a group of land guards stormed their community.

According to reports, the thugs numbering about 10, opened fire on the victims on a land at Awutu Kwao Bondze at the Awutu Senya East Municipal of the Central Region.

Per a Starrfm report, Information gathered revealed that the attack occurred when the Asafohene and his team went to the site to pay workers who are constructing a fence wall.

One of the labourers, Yaw Buabeng said, they were waiting for the people to come and pay them when the Land guards ambushed them and fired several rounds of ammunition on the Asafohene and his team, 20 meters away from the site. N

Narrating their ordeal, some of the victims said they will be able to identify the leader of the thugs and the men who shot at them.

In recent times issue of land guards terrorizing people has become rampant, with many residents being forced to flee their homes.
