Members of the Council of State today held a crunch meeting with Speaker of Parliament,Mr. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin over the recent disturbances in the chamber.
Chaotic scenes and in some instances fisticuffs have broken out in the chamber over approval or otherwise of government business especially, the controversial proposed E-Levy bill.
This has led to concerns from a section of the populace over how the legislative arm of government appears to be degenerating into a boxing arena.
The Chairman of the Council of State, Nana Otuo Siriboe in remarks said the meeting is aimed at finding lasting solutions to the impasse in the chamber.
On his part, Mr. Bagbin assured of his utmost professionalism while presiding over proceedings in the chamber
