The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo has indicated that Dagbon chieftaincy resolution must serve as an example to others embattling with chieftaincy disputes in the country.

He said the Dagbon settlement is been admired by people worldwide and that makes it very open for investment.

“Now that the peace is been secured we can look at Dagbon as a place for investment in tourism, Agriculture and industrial growth that would bring a big improvement in the lives of the people” Nana Addo added.

The president of the Republic made this revelation when he grants an in-studio interview to Radio Justice's Mumuni Yirifa Yunus on Saturday, August 7, 2021, as part of his two-day working visit to the Northern Region and monitored by Soireenews.com reporter Abdul Sammed Gurundari in Tamale.

When asked about the appointments to Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), Nana Addo said the names of the appointments would be released very soon. He further indicated that he has always love to explore the rules and regulations of Ghana, just as the president of the Republic is elected and endorsed by the people, it should have been replicated in electing MMDCEs.

In fulfilment of the one district one factory, the president was set to commissioning a rice processes factory in the Savelugu Municipality.

He finally encouraged the general public to continue supporting government initiatives in the area.
