Kofi Jamar has warned fans of fast-rising music stars to stop comparing their favourites to legendary acts like Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, and Stonebwoy.

According to him, it will take a lot more for new artistes, to achieve even a little of what they have achieved in total.

This he said concerning the recent buzz around Yaw Tog, who has been touted to be "better than Sarkodie" after he became the first artiste ever to get his music video hit 1 million views on Youtube in three days.

Yaw Tog's music video for his "Sore" remix with Kwesi Arthur and Stormzy hit the waves hard pulling in massive streams in just a couple of hours.

His fans immediately dubbed him as "better than Sarkodie", as even the rap god has never seen such boom in YouTube streams ever in his entire career.

Koffi Jamar pointed out that times are changing and some avenues that were available now weren't available then.

Still, they both cannot be compared as Sarkodie has 79million streams on his "Adonai" track with Castro.

The rapper called for calm amongst fans and asked them to give proper reference to the likes of Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, and Stonebwoy because they have paved the way for young artists like himself and Yaw Tog to get to where they are today.

Kofi Jamar added that what they have come to see and accomplish is been their years of hard-working and consistency.

“Stop disrespecting people like Sarkodie, Shatta, Stonebwoy, and the likes just because of an achievement made by we newbies. What we’ve come to see and accomplish is been their years of hardworking and consistency. Let’s put some respect on their names plsss“ he wrote.
