The fourth and final edition of the Mr. & Miss Autism event, which began years ago, was held last weekend.

Due to sponsorship issues, the Mr. & Miss Autism contest organizers brings it to an end

The Afi Antonio Foundation, who organized the event, stated that it was getting more and harder to find sponsors for it, and as a result, they decided not to hold it again.

Over the years, the event has helped to raise awareness of autism and has been utilized to support those who suffer from the medical condition.

The Foundation's founder, Afi Antonio, stated that because most sponsors have lowered their sponsorship packages, this year has been more challenging than prior years.

She added the foundation wasn't prepared to deal with the same stress again next year and had to look for funding elsewhere in order to organize this year's.

She added that several autistic centers were reluctant to release the kids to participate in the program in addition to financial concerns.

Ms. Antonio declared that despite the event's conclusion, she would remain an advocate for the disease and would keep looking out for the welfare of those who are autistic.

Typically, the event was held during the final weekend of April, which is Autism Awareness Month.

Kwame Adasah, Twita Lite, and gospel musician Jayan all gave amazing spoken word performances at this year's event. A few kids on the autistic spectrum also displayed their talents.

Emerick performed an alphabet recitation in several languages at the Woodfield Manor Autism School. He can accomplish that in fifteen different languages.

Melanie from the Dawhenya Autism Center modeled, while Holyfield from the Hopesetters Autism Center performed songs by different Ghanaian performers, identifying some of them by glancing at their screen images.

The competition concluded with the crowning of each competitor as an autism champion. The majority of parents bemoaned the event's conclusion and encouraged Afi to take a break before returning.
