Economic Hike: "I Support The Church Of Pentecost For Declaring A 3-Day National Fasting,"- Sheikh

The National President of the Islamic Mission Secretariat, Sheikh Harun Appau, has announced his maximum support for the Church of Pentecost for declaring a three-day national fasting and prayers in return for the economic hike.I

The slamic scholar recounted that, without Allah’s intervention, the country will continue to toil in the challenges confronting us all.

He mentioned that people who are castigating the clergy for such steps must avoid such acts since he believes the Covid-19 and Ukraine -Russian war were forfeiture from God.

“I perfectly support the Church of Pentecost. The Ukraine -Russian war and the Covid-19 pandemic were all punishments sent by God to mankind because of our inequities. I believe we need to support the country with prayers too,” he added.

In addition, he called on Ghanaians to practise the custom of patronising the made in Ghana products and goods to boost homegrown products.

“We are part of the complications. We should not attribute it to the president and his appointees. Why can’t we eat what we grow but we do import common toothpicks meanwhile we have bamboo all over the country? Do we buy cassava with a dollar? Why should our farmers increase food prices because of the climb of the dollar rate? We need attitudinal change for the betterment of the country,” he underlined.

He finally added that Ghanaians have the strength to fast and pray with the church will help reduce the economic hardship the country is going through.
