Everton are in a better position to land Barcelona’s Jean Clair Todibo, Marca reports.

The Premier League side has welcome giant additions to their side following James Rodriguez from Real Madrid, Allan, formerly of Napoli and Watford’s Doucoure.

The Toffees have kept a 100 per cent record, winning three out of their three Premier League games, with Dominic Calvert Lewin leading the Golden Boot race with five along with Jamie Vardy.

Carlo Ancelotti is still active in the market in search of a centre back as Le10Sport reports that Everton have been on the hunt for Todibo for some time and will look to take the Barcelona player on a season loan.

Ronald Koeman has ruled out any possible inclusion of the 20-year old French international in his current Barcelona squad. He was neither called to partake in any of the club's friendlies or the first match of the LaLiga Santander season against Villarreal.

Todibo spent the 2019/20 season on loan with Schalke and has made just four appearances for Barcelona since joining from Toulouse.

A deal is expected to be struck judging from the good relationship following deals involving Andre Gomes, Yerry Mina and Lucas Digne.
