Uhuru Kenyatta, a former president of Kenya, has been chosen by the African Union to head its observation mission for the upcoming general elections in Nigeria.
On February 25, Nigerians will cast their ballots.
Members of the AU organs, civil society, independent specialists, and election bodies are all represented on the observer mission.
Its goals include giving an accurate and unbiased evaluation of the electoral process and making suggestions for how future elections can be improved in light of the findings.
