Fulani Herdsmen Reduce Prices of Livestock After Relocation

The Eastern Regional Chapter of Fulani herdsmen Association of Ghana has announced a reduction in prices of livestock, after relocating the cattle market to Kutoso, near Kwahu Tafo of the Eastern Region, Ghana.

Speaking to the media over the weekend, the Fulani Chief of Donkorkrom, in the Kwahu Afram Plains North, Janllo Iddrisa Sambo opined, that through Kwhumanhene, Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng III, and the chief of Fulani in Kwahu, Alhaji Dudu, a large portion of land had been acquired at Kutoso, where the cattle market has been relocated.

He narrated, "as we are calling for buyers, customers, and the media as a whole to the scene, value corresponds to the average price obtained across homogeneous categories of cattle. We know transporting costs are high but we have decided to drop prices for buyers to have preferences”

“Our main goal is to supply and provide quality meat services and produce at affordable prices on livestock, we have been in existence for so many decades now, and we are one of the best autonomous commodity groups in Ghana and beyond which we focus on needs of our members as well as our client’s.”

“We also do help people in the Rural and Urban areas having the dream and resources in farming to have the best stock they need. Our strategically located facilities ensuring the input costs are kept low, we believe in the services and ensuring that quality control is always at the forefront of our processes”

“For this reason, we have integrated all production processes under one roof at Kutoso in the Kwahu guaranteeing total quality management”.

“I, therefore, called on buyers to come in their numbers on July 13, 2020. For a low price of livestock as we commission our newly created cattle market”.                 

Chief Janllo Iddrisa on his part stated, "with a deep appreciation, we thank the Omanhene of Kwahu, Dasebre Akuamoah Boateng III, may his name be praised and the Fulani Chief of Kwahu Alhaji Dudu, for their unflinching support during the relocation process, we are most grateful."
