Indian High Commissioner, His Excellency Sugandh Rajaram has begun a four-day tour in the Bono East Region aimed at exploring potentials in the area.  The tour according to him was to also strengthen India-Ghana relation.

Indian High Commissioner, His Excellency Sugandh Rajaram has begun a four-day tour in the Bono East Region aimed at exploring potentials in the area.  The tour according to him was to also strengthen India-Ghana relations.


At a durbar of Chiefs, Municipal and District Chief Executives and some Investors at Techiman to welcome the Indian High Commissioner, Oseadeyor Akumfi Ameyaw IV Omanhene of Techiman Traditional Area and Bono East Regional Representative of the Council of State commended H. E. Sugandh Rajaram for the visit and recounted the long-standing relationship between Ghana and India back from the days of colonialism.
In his welcome address, Kwasi Adu-Gyan Bono East Regional Minister noted that the High Commissioner's tour presents an opportunity to market the various investment opportunities in the area especially in agriculture, industry, tourism, education among others to India and the world at large.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development who happens to be the Member of Parliament for Techiman South Constituency, Martin Agyei Mensah Korsah pledged the Government of Ghana's readiness to partner with India for any business which will mutually benefit the two countries.
For his part, H. E. Sugandh Rajaram, Indian High Commissioner to Ghana noted in his tour various potentials discovered. He said the Indian government will be pleased to invest in the region for mutual benefit.
