The Portuguese has tested positive for the virus and will miss Athletico Madrid's game against Celta Vigo, the club has confirmed.
The Portuguese player is isolating at home, in compliance with the health authorities’ guidelines and LaLiga protocols.
He adds to Rojiblancos list of players who have contracted the virus in the persons of Mario Hermoso and Yannick Carrasco who tested positive on Friday.
Luis Suarez, Diego Costa, Ivo Grbic, Sime Vrsaljko, Angel Correa and Lucas Torreira are players of Atletico Madrid earlier affected by the virus and recovered.
