Late Osinachi's Husband Peter Sentenced To Death By Hanging

The Federal Government of Nigeria has filed 23 counts of charges against Peter Nwachukwu, husband of late popular gospel artist, Osinachi, who died on April 8 after he allegedly assaulted her.

During the weekend, the social media space was awash with the news of a purported court judgment that sentenced Peter Nwachukwu, husband of the late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu to death by hanging

The report, which has gone viral and has been republished by many blogs, claimed it was the federal high court in Abuja that passed the judgment.

He was charged under sections 104 and 379 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015, by the Attorney-General of the Federation.

The defendant was charged with culpable homicide contrary to section 221 of the Penal Code which is punishable with death by hanging.”

This was after a series of testimonies from Peter’s children, Osinachi’s sisters, and parents all proved that he was an abusive man.

Osinachi of “Ekueme” fame passed away last month. After her death, several reports came in that her husband is the cause of his death.

He was accused of beating and stomping her abdomen on several occasions.

The accusations were so serious that even his children confirmed that Peter Nwachukwu used to beat their mom when she was alive.
