N/R: About 20 Tertiary Students gets support from Savulugu MP

The Member of Parliament for the Savelugu Constituency of the Northern Region, Hon Alhaji Abdulai Yakubu Wunbenkpang onTuesday 4th January, 2022 offered financial support to about twenty (20) tertiary students in the constituency.

The support is geared to assist the students pay their 2022 academic year school fees, and in effect reduce their struggle.

The Member of Parliament made the presentation together with some of the NDC constituency executives at a short ceremony.

He noted that his primary goal is aimed to assist students in the constituency to attain high educational qualifications for them to achieve success in the near future.

Alhaji Abdullai advised the beneficiaries to take their studies serious and eschew laziness and unproductive act that has the tendencies of detailing their future.

He tasked them to be responsible students and become solution providers in their respective families and society at large instead of becoming dependents.

Alhaji Abdullai encouraged the students to be discipline as they pursue their academic excellent.

He assured the people in the constituency his commitment to continue with the noble initiative, as far as he remain as the Member of Parliament.

He revealed that plans were far advanced to make funds available for the renovation of classroom block at Kukobila which he explained had been there for the past six years uncompleted.

He added that, funds would be released to renovate "Sawaba Zaaria" primary school in Savelugu town.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the MP for coming to their aid, noting that "This is the first time as a constituents we are seeing some like that, so we are grateful to him" they submitted.
