Nuno Espirito Santos has recognised his coaching staff after receiving the October Manager of the Month award.

The 46-year old took over from Carlo Ancelotti after beating competitions from Ralph Hasenhuttl, Jose Mourinho, David Moyes and Dean Smith.

The Portuguese led Wolverhampton Wanderers to an unbeaten month winning against Fulham, Leeds United and Crystal Palace.

He expressed how he is working hard with coaching staff to improve the level of Wolves bouncing back from successive defeats in September.

“We became more solid and more organised," said Nuno after being presented his award alongside performance analysts Ed Ames and John Boston, and head of performance and research Mat Pearson.

"We expect things to improve and it's still an ongoing process of the team.

"We've been able to, during the month of October, bounce back from our performance the previous month, but all the matches were very, very difficult.

"It was not such a perfect month but it was a very good month in terms of performances."

The accolade is the third I manager’s career after winning it in September 2018 and June 2020.
