The Obuasi Divisional Police Command on 15 September 2021 around 12 noon picked up a 21-year-old  Eric Addai with human parts at a cemetery in Anyinam, a suburb in the Obuasi Municipal Assembly of the Ashanti Region.

Soireenews in an engagement with the Obuasi divisional Police commander, Chief Superintendent Joseph Nyaba said AngloGold Ashanti Obuasi Mine police on patrol duty spotted the suspect Eric Addai aka Nana Osei Bonsu in the company of another young man digging for the human parts at the cemetery.

He said one of the suspects took to his heels on seeing the police but luck failed Addai and he was apprehended.

Chief superintendent Nyaba added that a number of human bones were found with the suspect.

He said Suspect Addai is being processed for court.

The Obuasi security Court presided over by her lordship Joyce Boahen on September, 16 adjourned the case to September 23, 2021, for the suspect (Addai) to re-appear before the court after a plea by the prosecutor, Chief inspector Theresah Owusu for further investigation to ascertain facts to assist the court for prosecution.

In an interview with the Obuasi divisional Police commander, Supt Joseph Nyaaba after the rule by the court said, as long as he remains the divisional police Commander, there will be no room for criminals and persons involved in cases related to crime.
