One Shot Dead At Jamase After Heavy Clash Between Land Guards And Residents
Man 42 yrs, shot dead at Ejisu Jamase

One person is reported dead at Besease-Jamase in the Ejisu constituency of the Ashanti region after land guards shot him in a clash between residents.

The incident happened some hours ago at about 10 AM today.

The deceased name available to Soiree News is “NDC”, a man believed to be in his early 40s.

Eye witness, Ama Serwaa a resident of the Jamase in an interview with Soiree News 24 stated that the land guards numbering about 4 besieged Kelebi (new site), a suburb of the community around 9 AM with a mission to harass builders.

She said the land guards unlawfully arrested builders on site, bounded them, and put them on a 4x4 pickup.

The Jamase residents upon seeing the unlawful act however mounted a barrier in the middle of the community to stop the guards.

The action, however, infuriated the guards where they fired several gunshots to deter the residents but they (Jamase residents) retaliated with sticks and cutlass, a step to rescue their colleagues.

The deceased in the course of the banter was shot dead instantly by the land guards.

Eye witness Ama Serwaa said the land guards have however fled but the deceased is still lying in a pool of blood as of now.
