Vice-Chancellor for Sunyani Technical University Professor Kojo Adinkrah Appiah has appealed to the Sunyani Traditional Council to help them restrict people who are encroaching on their land.

According to him, the university has the intention of building a new hostel but people have invaded their land making it difficult to carry out their project

He made this appeal when Sunyani Stakeholders Association embarked on a visit to familiarize with the institution. The Sunyani Technical University is one of the nineteen institutions in the Sunyani Municipality the group will visit as part of the familiarization tour.

Professor Adinkrah Appiah explained that the school only shares boundary with Sunyani Senior High School therefore anyone cannot own the ownership of such a place.

Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the school Professor Solomon Korantwi Berimah accused some chiefs and other respected leaders in Sunyani of responsible for their lands been encroached.

Akwamuhene of Sunyani Traditional Council Nana Kwaku Sabeng did not only assured the school of finding a solution to their plea but commended them for improving the institution.
