 Board Chairman for the Ghana Standard Authority, Professor Felix Charles Mills has disclosed that plans are underway to enforce a standard means of selling products in the markets starting from Techiman the Bono East regional capital.

He also revealed that there is available equipment that will enable measuring of, foodstuffs, for example scaling of yam, and plantain among other things have uniform pricing.

Professor Felix Charles Mills made the revelations when he paid a courtesy call on the Bono East regional minister, Mr. Kwasi Adu Gyan at his office.

The meeting afforded the leadership of the two institutions, Bono East Regional Coordinating Council and Ghana Standard Authority opportunity to discuss issues of interest concerning the standardization of the goods in Techiman and the region as a whole in terms of quality and pricing.

In his welcome address, the Bono East Regional Minister, Hon Kwasi Adu Gyan, commended the efforts being put in place by the Ghana Standard Authority to ensure wholesome products and regulatory regimes in the markets.

He advised the Ghana Standard Authority to be flexible in their activities in order not to kill innovations especially when it comes to digital marketing.

The Minister observed that many are young entrepreneurs who would want to use technology to meet their market and there should be a conscious effort to help them grow their businesses.
