Shatta Wale has sounded a call of warning to all Ghanaians.

The dancehall artiste announced his COVID-19 status while also calling on all Ghanaians citizens to go check their own statuses for early diagnosis and treatment of the virus which seems to show no sign of stopping anytime soon.

In his result, it is clearly stated there that the dancehall giant is virus-free; he tested negative.

He further advised the public to adhere to government's safety precautionary measures like the wearing of nose masks, regular handwashing and social distancing in public places, to prevent the spread of the virus.

While he also uploaded the video of his test procedure, the SM boss gave his fans a sneak peek of himself undergoing his COVID-19 test at the LEDing Medical Laboratory.

“Guys please kindly get tested to know your stand because covid is indeed real. Am sure if I had used my real name, the results would have come out positive ????. Controversial name “Mr Charles Nii Armah Mensah,” he said.

Ghana plans to procure 17.6 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine by the end of June with the first doses arriving in March, President Nana Akufo-Addo said on Sunday.

Like other countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, Ghana is battling a second wave of the novel coronavirus. Its daily infection rate is rising and is close to record levels, data compiled by Reuters shows. So far it has recorded over 63,000 cases and 416 deaths.

"Our aim is to vaccinate the entire population, with an initial target of twenty million people," Akufo-Addo said in a speech to the West African nation of around 30 million.
