Sekyikrom's  Apagyahene  Destoolment  Is Still Enforce —Nana Agyekwabea Akyeampomah III Insists
The destooled Apagyahene of Sekyikrom, Oheneba Nana Asante Okore I.
Paramount Queen-mother of Sakyikrom under the Akwamu Traditional Area in the Nsawam Adoagyir Municipality of the Eastern Region, Nana Agyekwabea Akyeampomah III, has called on the general public, particularly the indigenes of Sakyikrom to disregard the claim by Mr Asante Okore, popularly known as Toroo that he still remains Apagyahene of Sekyikrom under the stool name, Oheneba Nana Asante Okore I.

Addressing a press conference at Sakyikrom,
Nana Agyekwabea Akyeampomah III stressed that Asante Okore Toroo has flouted their traditional laws by way of putting the name of Sakyikrom into the public ridiculous.
She stated that she effectively consults the elders of the Boadi family of where the Apagyahene comes from before she took such decision with the support of members of the Sakyikrom Traditional Council to perform the necessary rituals to oust Oheneba Nana Asante Okore I as Sekyikrom Apagyahene.
She pointed out that the current decision by Asante Okore to be using the platform of Onua FM to be saying that he is still Apagyahene of Sekyikrom was a completely lies.
The paramount queen-mother stressed that he has been destooled and that Mr Asante Okore Toroo would not be recognized as a legitimate chief of the area anymore, saying that whoever deal with him in respect of chieftaincy and land matters does it on their own risk or peril.
According to Nana Agyekwabea Akyeampomah III, the Sakyikrom Traditional Council and elders of Boadi had supported her to destool Asante Okore because he has violated the trust the people in Sakyikrom has vested in him.

Additionally, the queen-mother emphasized that according to tradition, a chief can be destooled for breaking the oath of allegiance to the community, saying that the distoolment charges preferred against Mr Asante Okore were same, "so he cannot away from his wrong doings.

The Sakyikrom Traditional Council  led by the queen-mother has performed rituals to remove Oheneba Nana Asante Okore I as Sekyikrom Apagyahene.
The action by the Council followed an interview Oheneba Okore granted to the media without the consent of the various chiefs  (Nananom) in the area.
There are widespread media reports attributed to Asante Okore to the effect that all the households in Sakyikrom did not have toilet facilities, a development which compels the indigenes to defecate in bushes and at the public cemetery.
Mr. Asante Okore was reported to have made these derogatory comments on Onua TV. He was also reported to have made several dangerous statements against the elders, chiefs, queens and people of the area which has dented the image of Sakyikrom.
He was ostensibly exhibiting these acts to destroy the reputation of the newly-installed Sakyikromhene but evidence available showed that Nana Sakyi Agyekwa V demonstrates that he has technical know how to work closely with the traditional authorities and leadership of the Nsawam Adoagyir Municipal Assembly.
However, the continuous practice of Mr. Asante Okore to go on Onu TV to peddle falsehood against the Sakyikrom has angered the traditional office holders and youths in the area, hence his destoolment to bring peace in the area.
Meanwhile, Nana Agyakwabea Acheampomaa III, in a press conference has refuted all claims by the Apagyahene.
The queen-mother reiterated that every household in the Sakyikrom has a toilet facility including a public toilet.
She indicated that Oheneba Nana Asante Okore I used words which denigrated the community, hence the decision by the traditional council to destool him to serve as a deterrent to others.
