Thirty jihadist suspects killed in Mozambique - Samim

In an operation that began last Tuesday, the Military Mission of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), also known as Samim, claims to have killed 30 alleged terrorists in Cabo Delgado, northern Mozambique.

The suspected jihadists' weapons have also been found.

Two SADC troops, one from Botswana and the other from Tanzania, were killed during an operation in the Nkonga village forests, in the district of Nangade, north of Cabo Delgado, according to the SADC military mission.

Jihadists continue to retain territory in Nangade, where they regularly target military installations, farms, and villages.

Recently, Tanzanian forces integrated in the SADC military mission fell into an ambush and five soldiers were injured. During the ambush, the jihadists seized weapons.
