The Grammy-winning musician began a 13-minute mashup of his classics with "Caught Up," paying homage to his residency in Las Vegas with the performance.

The scene could have been called "Cirque de Usher," with scores of dancers, showgirls, and acrobats performing alongside them.

Usher then gave special guest Alicia Keys the "Spotlight," rolling from "If I Ain't Got You" to their smash duet "My Boo." "U Don't Have to Call" came next, with a shout-out to his mother.

Usher followed up with "Let It Burn" and "U Got It Bad," but it wouldn't be an Usher show without some Atlanta in the mix. One of that city's most well-known producers, Jermaine Dupri, presented "Confessions." Soaked Usher took off his shirt off for a few minutes – likely much to the delight of many.

Later on, guitarist H.E.R. joined him. She served as his "Bad Girl," giving the main act a chance to don his well-known roller skates for a routine that ended with Lil Jon asking, "Turn Down For What?"

That meant, you know, a pop of their popular song "Yeah!" featuring the legendary rhymes of rapper Ludacris.

The singer claimed to have "worked my entire life to be able to" perform at the Super Bowl in an interview with CNN in November.

"I'll be commemorating a lot of occasions. I'm enjoying the sites I've visited. I'm honoring the sources of inspiration. "I'm honoring the music," he declared. "I am enjoying the dancing. I'm honoring the concept of this historic occasion for all the performers who have performed it previously and how they managed to bring the world together.”

During the press conference earlier this week in Las Vegas, Usher also discussed those themes.

"I was thinking about where we're heading in the future and I was very mindful of my past celebrating my present, which is here in Las Vegas," he said.

The celebrity enjoyed a well-received one-month residency in Las Vegas.
