Mikel Arteta believes Arsenal must respect the timing of Aubameyang’s contract extension, a decision that Gunners are expecting to be positive in the subsequent weeks as the club strengthens their squad ahead of next season.

Aubameyang scored a brace last Saturday at Wembley as the Gunner’s expelled Manchester City from the FA Cup semifinals.

Aubameyang is in the final year of his contract and according to the Spaniard, the Gabonese contract talk is one of the insecurities the club handling yet they must value the decision of the player and hope he commit his future to the Gunners.

“When I was talking about the uncertain things on table, he’s one of them [along with Europe].

"What I want, the quicker he will do it, the better! The player will be more focused, more determined, and more calm. But we have to respect the timings."
