West Gonja MCE Handsover Damongo Astro Turf project to  Contractor

The Municipal Chief Executive for West Gonja in the Savannah Region, Honourable Musah Karim Kusobari has handed over the Damongo town Park (Astro Turf) project to a contractor.

"I am aware about how the people in the community are so much worried about the bad nature of the Damongo town Park, but thank God the Government of the day has heard our cry". He said after the handing over.

According to him, the project when completed will be used for multipurpose activities such as an avenue for social gatherings and recreational centres.

Honourable Musah apologized to the general public who would have like to use the town Park for their programs and cannot access due to the project.

He pleaded with the general public to give the contractors the necessary support and cooperation when they begin the construction work.

The Municipal Chief revealed that this year's independence day celebration may not be able to take place at the Damongo town Park because of the construction.

"There will be a venue relocation for this year's independence day celebration which will be communicated to the general public soon"

The Chief Executive was accompanied by the district works engineer, Mr Inusah Dramani and Mr Denise Osei an assistant director from the assembly.

The contractor, Mr. Albert Addo from Blaze Investment Limited briefed the dignitaries on the project, and assured that the construction work will complete within three months.

He said, we are experts in Astro Turf construction and the government has since relied and kept the trust in us for such projects since it has been one of the government flagship programs.

Mr Addo asked for the cooperation of the community when they begin their work.

He made it known that, at anytime the need comes that may involve the assistance from the chief executive they will prompt him.
