According to Stephanie Benson, there is a 70% likelihood of not surviving a BBL operation

Stephanie Benson, a Ghanaian singer and performer living in the UK, is cautioning women against undergoing Brazilian Butt Lifts, or BBLs, as they can be extremely deadly.

According to Stephanie Benson, there is a 70% likelihood of not surviving a BBL operation

The outspoken singer revealed that there is a 70% probability of not surviving a BBL surgery during a recent guest appearance on TV3's The Ladies Circle.

The American Society of Plastic Surgeon defines BBL as the use of a patient's own fat tissue to increase the buttock area.

The first part in the two-step process is liposuction of a separate region, which is frequently the back, thighs, abdomen, or flanks. To enhance shape and projection, the fat that was taken from these places is then injected into the buttocks and hips.

The regular hosts, Anita Akua Akuffo, Helen Appiah-Ampofo, and Sika Osei, had a chat that seemed to spark a pertinent discussion on the health risks associated with BBL versus liposuction. Stephanie then revealed that leading surgeons in the UK and America were choosing not to perform such treatments.

I personally don't make any compromises when it comes to taking care of my body. Compared to a BBL, your risks of dying during liposuction are significantly lower.

"There's a 70% possibility, if not higher, that you could die from a BBL. People seem to believe that this is scare tactics, yet it's the truth. Not even the best surgeons in the US and the UK enjoy performing it.

“This is because if any of the fat goes into any part of your body, you are dead,” she said.

The singer of One More also revealed that she recently lost a dear friend who passed away from BBL complications, leaving her kids behind.

She called this a regrettable situation, given that a lot of women are ignoring the high risk of BBL because they were led to believe it was all hype.

"Prioritize your health; I'm not advocating against getting liposuction. I am aware that some people wish to have liposuction and that there are some fat deposits after having birth that are difficult to lose. Why not, if you earn it?

"But before you think about getting any form of plastic surgery, I say that you first get your lifestyle in order," she said.
