Abontendomhene of Kyebi within the Eastern Region, Osabarima Marfo Kwabrane has cautioned the Newly installed Chief of Akyem Anyinasin, Osaberima Apeakorang Agyei Bosompem II to be sober and a learner under his superiors.

According to him, that would be the only way the new chief could become a good leader.

Speaking in an interview with Soireenews.com at the enstoolment durbar last Saturday, 27 March 2021 at Akyem Anyinasin within the Abuakwa North municipality of the Eastern Region, Osabarima Marfo Kwabrane said the journey to the top include learning from other leaders and giving credence to the people.

"You can become a leader of great difference only if you humble yourself and learn from those ahead of you.”

To become chief is to be a servant of the people but not to lord over them, so you should have the heart and a mindset of servanthood", Osabarima Marfo Kwabrane further advised.

He said, “a leader with a difference is one who had prepared his way by subjecting himself and learning from senior chiefs and that is the mark of one who is preparing the way to become a good leader."

The enstoolment ceremony was well attended by respected Chiefs such as Abontendomhene of Kyebi, Osaberima Marfo Kwabrane, Akyeasehene & Nifahene of Akyem Abuakwa, Daasebre Gyenin Kentan II, Okunaninghene, Osaberima Adu Gyamfi amongst other dignitaries.

The seat of Akyem Anyinasin which had been vacant for about nine years after the death of the Late chief, Osaberima Asante Afum, had not only deprived Akyem Anyinasin of its fair share of development but has created a vacuum in the paramountcy of Okyehene Amoatia Ofori Payin.

Making a commitment to the people of Akyem Anyinasin, the newly enstooled Chief, Osaberima Apeakorang Agyei Bosompem II assured the chiefs and people of his readiness to serve with his might to the best of his ability.

"I will respond and be present whenever my service is needed.”

"I promise not to lord over my people or become a tin god to be served,” Osaberima Apeakorang

The new Akyem Anyinasin chief however called for infringing support from his people and superior Chiefs to handle all disputes.
