Don't try to crash our democracy you did not build-CMD warns NPP

The Caucus for Matured Democrats(CMD) is cautioning elements within the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) to refrain from tendencies that would create unrest in the country as they did not help in building Ghana's democracy.

The caution, the Caucus say is necessary to restrain the ruling party's surrogates to stay clear of tendencies that are likely to cause trouble.

CMD's comment follows the move by one of their own, Ken, who filed a suit at the apex court seeking interpretation and ban the former President, H.E. John Dramani Mahama from contesting for president.

The caucus said, "We can not afford to allow those who refused to add their inputs in crafting the Democracy we want for ourselves to gamble with its, peace and security of all Ghanaians to their whims and caprices".

It continued that the intent of the ruling NPP to demand interpretation of the second coming of H.E. John Dramani Mahama to the presidency can never be thwarted either by them the supreme court.

In a press statement copied to Soireenews.com, the Executive Secretary, Mr. Baba Iddrisu indicated "John Mahama was not selected by Jean Adukwai Mensah, the electoral Commissioner, and the supreme court like they selected president Akufo Addo for his second term in Election 2020, but he was duly elected by the delegates of the great NDC party".

"The Caucus for Mature Democrats therefore, want to sound a serious word of caution to the NPP and the supreme court that, NEVER AGAIN will Ghanaians sit aloof for them to denigrate and vilify John Dramani Mahama as they did before Election 2016", excerpts of the statement indicates.

"We are determined to defend John Dramani Mahama, our Democracy, and the NDC party with our last gasp of air and the last drop of blood. So let the NPP and the supreme court be aware that, the war they intend to deliberately bring after stealing to Collapse Ghana would be met with superior Determination and maximum force in resistance to save our constitution and Democracy", it further cautioned.

The statement said the fear of the Akufo Addo-led NPP government of being prosecuted and jailed for looting to collapse Ghana after office is very well known by the good people of Ghana who are determined to protect and defend the constitution and Democracy.

In conclusion, the statement noted, "We are making it very clear to the NPP government and the supreme court that, we would resist any attempt by them, at introducing war into Ghana with fear of being prosecuted and jailed for looting to collapse Ghana".

"We are resolved to be Citizens, not spectators, and not cowards who are scared at the mention of war adding, at Caucus For Mature Democrats (CMD), We put Ghana ???????? first".
