One of the Multichoice Group's consumer brands, DStv, has been ranked as Africa's "Most-Admired Media Brand" by consumers.

The prestigious award is given by Brand Africa 100: Africa's Best businesses, an independent consumer survey that honors the businesses that African consumers throughout the continent find most appealing.

In the study, DStv was also selected as the fourth-best "Top African Pride Brand" and ranked 40th out of the top 100 "Most Admired Brands in Africa" list.

He pointed out that the accomplishment confirms DStv's leadership in the African media landscape, surpassing international behemoths like the BBC, CNN, Al Jazeera, Facebook, Netflix, YouTube, and others.

He claimed that the prize was well-deserved because the company created an astounding 6,000 hours of local content that enthralled and informed over 21 million customers across 50 countries in 40 languages.

"The brand's unparalleled reach touched the lives of more than 100 million people every day, reaffirming its status as the leading entertainment provider in the region," he stated.

With an all-time high of 32 nations and economic zones taking part in the research, Brand Africa 100: Africa's Best Brands is one of the most thorough studies on brands in Africa.

With over 200,000 brand mentions and more than 3,000 featured businesses, the poll, which was independently performed by Brand Africa partners, cemented its position as the most dependable and reliable gauge of brands on the continent.
